Around Coombabah
Coombabah takes its name from Coombabah Lake and Coombabah Creek. The Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area covers more than 1,200 hectares of wetland, forest and mangroves, with flat tracks the council describes as easy for all fitness levels.
The Melaleuca boardwalk, part of the 1.2 km Wallaby Circuit, runs above the wetland from the car park on Lakelands Drive.
Bus 704 runs from Helensvale station along the Gold Coast Highway through Coombabah, and route 712 connects the suburb with Harbour Town and Southport. The Marj Shipman Community Centre on Hansford Road has a hall used for classes and meetings.

After sustaining a horse riding accident, I was left feeling hopeless. The team have been there every step of the way, helping me adjust to my new reality with care and support. After months of physiotherapy, I’ve finally been able to regain a sense of purpose and confidence in my life again. I’m incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done for me.Posted on Google![]()
