Daily living
When the washing piles up and the kitchen gets away from you, that isn’t a character flaw. It’s a reason to ask for help. We’re a registered NDIS provider on the Gold Coast, and household tasks are part of what we do every day.
What we help with
You might need help with one of these or all of them, once a week or most days. It’s built around what you actually struggle with.
Vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, kitchens and the surfaces that need doing more often than you'd like.
Washing, drying, folding, putting away, and changing sheets that are heavier than they look.
Cooking, portioning and getting food ready, so eating well doesn't depend on how you feel that day.
Dishes, tidying, bins and the small jobs that quietly build up into a big one.
The short answer
Household tasks sit in the Core part of most plans, under assistance with daily life. If your disability makes it hard to keep on top of the house safely, this is exactly what that funding is for.
There’s no set number of hours. It’s worked out from what you actually need as part of your plan, rather than a standard allowance everyone gets.
Core is also the most flexible part of a plan. If household tasks matter more to you than something else you’re funded for, there’s usually room to shift between everyday supports without going back to the NDIA.
One thing worth knowing: the NDIS funds the support worker’s time, not the cleaning products or the groceries. Those stay everyday costs, the same as for anyone.
The difference
This is where we differ from a cleaning company. The people we send are support workers, which means a visit can cover a lot more than the house.
The same visit can cover the house, a shower and a lift to an appointment. No separate bookings.

We match on personality and keep the same person with you, so you're not explaining yourself weekly.
Nobody is judging the state of the place. We've seen it all, and we're there to help rather than inspect.
Talk it through
Tell us what you’re struggling with and we’ll help you work out what your plan actually covers. No forms before we’ve spoken.

Worth knowing
Same kitchen, two different budgets, and it catches a lot of people out. We cover the skills side on our life skills page.
Someone cooks for you. Funded from Core, alongside the rest of your household tasks.
Someone helps you learn to cook for yourself. Funded from Capacity Building, as a life skill.
How it works
Most people start small and adjust once they can see what makes the biggest difference to a week. If you’re in a shared living arrangement, household tasks are usually part of your SIL support instead.
Getting started
Nothing complicated, and nothing to fill in before we’ve talked.
A quick conversation about what you're managing and what's slipping. That's the whole first step.
Based on how you like things done, not just who happens to be free that morning.
One visit a week is a perfectly normal place to begin. You can build from there.
FAQs
Yes, where it’s related to your disability and you can’t safely manage it yourself. It sits in your Core budget under assistance with daily life. It’s support to keep your home safe and liveable, rather than a general cleaning service.
There’s no standard number. It’s worked out from what you actually need and what’s reasonable and necessary, as part of your planning conversation. If what you have isn’t enough, that’s worth raising at your next plan reassessment.
Generally we help with the areas and tasks connected to your disability, rather than the housework a household would need doing anyway. In a share house that usually means your own room and bathroom. We’ll talk through what that looks like for you.
Things any household pays for regardless of disability. That includes trades and repairs, pest control, major gardening, bond or end of lease cleans, and the cleaning products and groceries themselves. The NDIS funds the worker’s time.
Yes, and most people prefer it that way. If you’re funded for personal care or community access as well, one worker can often cover several supports in the same visit rather than you booking three different people.
No. Genuinely. People often feel they should and there’s no need. Our workers have seen every kind of home, and nobody is coming to judge how yours looks.
Yes. Plenty of people call us unsure what their plan actually covers. We’ll talk it through and be honest with you, and if you need a plan manager or support coordinator for something, we’ll say so.
